In case you haven’t been on Twitter yet today, or you know, just follow the right people, the hashtag #10YearsOfHannahMontana has been trending. That’s because 10 years ago today, March 24, 2006, Miley Cyrus hit our TV sets with the very first episode of Hannah Montana.

Who knew that four seasons and who knows how many movies (not me) later the seemingly wholesome girl who played Hannah Montana would end up doing her best to try shock everyone at every turn as an adult?

(Still waiting for that fully nude concert to take place, by the way, Miley.)

Anyway, the anniversary today was not lost on Miley as she posted a couple of photos in honor of the day.

The first she shared was a photo of herself in a blonde wig much like she wore as Hannah Montana with a seemingly heartfelt caption that kind of swerved off course when it ended with, “Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart! Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember #HM4EVR.”

Of course with that being almost normal Miley then had to follow it up a couple of hours later with this…

Phew. For a second there I thought she was going to make it through the day without trying to “shock” everyone. Glad to see nothing’s changed.

So yeah, happy anniversary, Miley.

To celebrate this momentous day here are some recent the highlights of just how far you’ve come since those halcyon days on the Disney Channel…
