Stella Maxwell ranked first on Maxim Hot 100 List for 2016. As the only Irish Victoria’s Secret’s Angel (though she was born in Belgium and went to school in Australia and New Zealand), Stella also ranked on Models.com “Top Sexiest Women Models” and was nominated in their “Social Media Star” category, thanks to her incinerating Instagram account, which we’ve kept an eye on.
Maxwell’s posed in ads for H&M, Puma, and Urban Outfitters, walked the runway for Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Fendi, and has demo’d clothes for several fashion magazines including Elle, Glamour, and Vogue. But, you probably remember her from that video she was in with Kelly Rohrbach and Bella Hadid or from the multiple reports about her making out with and getting handsy with Miley Cyrus on a public sidewalk or her fling with Kristen Stewart.
According to Maxim, what sets her apart is her confidence yet lack of competitiveness. Maxwell attributes that to being a late bloomer, saying:
“I think those of us who have found success grew into ourselves in our 20s,” (citing best friends Bella Hadid and Barbara Palvin) “I know I was not the hottest chick at school! We all peaked a little later than the other girls.”
I peaked in grade school, so I can’t relate.
