Several female celebrities have had personal and explicit photos leaked in what is being called The Fappening 2.0. Last month, Doug informed you that a batch of photos from well-known actresses including Emma Watson and Amanda Seyfried were stolen and posted online. Now the list of female celebrities who have had explicit pics released has grown substantially with the latest leaks.
The latest group of victims of the leak include nude photos of Kate Hudson, Rosario Dawson, Miley Cyrus, Alison Brie, Sophie Turner, Yvonne Strahovski, Suki Waterhouse, Lily Rabe, Marin Ireland, AJ Michalka, Kelly Rohrbach, Carice Van Houten from “Game of Thrones,” Audrina Partridge, Dianna Agron, and Whitney Port. Demi Lovato, who was a victim of the first wave of hacked pics, allegedly had new NSFW photos released.
Hackers have illegally stolen the personal photos by phishing and released the graphic pics to the internet.
Ryan Collins, The Fappening hacker, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for releasing the photos of celebrities back in August of 2014. Collins pleaded guilty to federal hacking charges and admitted to a two-year phishing scam to gain passwords of more than 100 people, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kaley Cuoco, Kirsten Dunst, Aubrey Plaza, Rihanna and Avril Lavigne. In March of 2016, he pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer to obtain information.
